Quotes:
(on Lost fans’ reaction to him) “It’s been phenomenal. When people come up and want to talk, which is a lot, it’s pretty genuine and very emotional. For an actor, that’s very heartening. You can tell they’re responding to the work in an emotional way and not just ‘guess who I saw.’ “
(on what he hopes happens to Rose and Bernard by the series finale) “It’s hard knowing where the island is going to end up and knowing it would be hard for them to leave. When Rose is there, she’s cancer free. When she’s back in the rest of the world, she’s probably not. I see them on the island in the middle of a little grass shack, watching the sunset, perfectly content.”
"Lost on television is very like playtime, because it’s like going to camp. You are out in the middle of the jungle, you are in the water, it’s perfectly okay to be dirty, it’s perfectly okay to be wet. You’re in the rainforest; you don’t need to worry about creating some kind of mythical place to be. You’re going to fall over the tree root, and the cameraman’s probably going to fall over with you. You’ve got it all right there in front of you, and it’s like magic."
